International Summer School 2015

The ninth edition of the International Summer School on Nanosciences Ile-de-France was held from June 21 to 26 2015, at the Country Club of Etiolles.

Thirty-three PhD students and postdocs from the Ile-de-France, South-East and abroad, attended the week of lectures by prestigious speakers in the field of nanoscience:

This year, the bar of science theme was The parity in scientific careers . Animated by Stephanie COUVREUR (Diagonal Paris-Saclay) and Raphaelle JARRIGE, the evening began with questions about parity in the laboratories of the participants, complemented by two interventions by two researchers of the network, Nathalie LIDGI-GUIGUI (spPbat) and Sophie CARENCO (LCMCP). Finally, we finished on a role play in which the objective is to encourage exchanges and discussions among participants and speakers on the issue of access to parity in the scientific community.

On Thursday afternoon was held at the Louvre a talk by Giuseppina PADELLETTI themed
Science in Art, by relying on Italian Renaissance majolica. It was followed by a guided tour of the museum’s department of art objects.
The year a new poster session was held. The winners of the poster prize are :

  • Adrien JEANTET (LPA)
  • Shuiyan CAO (ISMO)
  • Roméo BONNET (MSC)
  • Morgane PELLERIN (LCMCP)
